1. Will O.A.S.I.S. test me for hep C ? Yes. Testing is free and confidential. 2. Will O.A.S.I.S. treat me for hep C ? Yes. 3. When are the walk-in services for hep C ? Free walk-in services are at 12 PM on Tuesdays. There is a break at 1 PM. The group ends at 2 PM. 4. Is there really a free lunch provided? Yes. 5. Should I bring my old medical records? Yes. 6. How about a list of my medications? That would help, too. 7. What do I do when I get there? There is a sign-in sheet by the door. PRINT your name clearly and you will be called for a consultation with a clinician in the order your name appears on the list. Patients currently enrolled in a clinical research study may take priority if volume is high, but we will get to you eventually. 8. Do I have to be a hep C patient to attend? No. Friends and family members also attend these meetings to give support and learn about hepatitis C. 9. Didn't you guys used to located somewhere else? Yes. Our old location was 2862 Telegraph. Our new location is about 500 feet away (just around the corner) at 520 27th St. 10. How big are these meetings? Anywhere from 10 to 40 people. 11. Do I have to talk at this meeting if I don't want to? Absolutely not. 12. I still have more questions. Who do I talk to? Peer Educator Larry Galindo is usually on hand to answer questions.
